Nearly all passenger vehicles and heavy vehicles on the road today have some form of EDR. Some vehicles even have multiple EDRs. There is no singular list of all vehicles with and without EDRs, so contact one of our engineers with your VIN to get the full picture of what data may be available.
Data varies significantly from system to system but generally EDRs can store data concerning the vehicle like speed or engine RPM as well as data concerning the driver like brake pedal application or steering input.
Data can usually be obtained by connecting to the in-vehicle diagnostic connector. If a vehicle is heavily damaged, EDRs may also be accessed directly. DELTA |v| also specializes in recovery of data from damaged EDRs.
